Help on the MVUM and Wolf Pen Gap

I am writing a 6 page paper on Wolf Pen Gap and the effects of the MVUM on it and Mena. Also I am having to do a 20 minute group speech on the same subject (different class) and I am asking for all the links and sites you guys have. Just post them in under this subject. It's getting to hard to read all the posts and find all this stuff with all the extra talk that goes on in the forum. I know I havent been much help with the MVUm stuff but with 15 hours of school, full time job, 4 kids, and the military I have to choose my time spent wisely. School will be over in a few months so hopefully I can start helping/participating in more club stuff. Anyways, if you could post the links/documents/websites involved in this stuff that would be AWESOME!! Thanks guys/gals.

Other than the information provided on the forest service website and the copies of the appeals there really is no one source that covers everything.

any source will help...not necessarily just one...any website/newspaper/magazine that has had anything about it will be helpful. Is there anything in the MVUM that says where they got their data from for closing places? Like the water data? What group did that? Is that public information?

No, that lack of info is part of at least one of the appeals.

digging deeper and deeper in research...they say that in 07 and 08 there were announcement letters and letters inviting participation in the development of the project. It says that they were sent out to "interested parties"....who were they...would that be public info I could find out? Also is says that there were 900 comments recieved in all this....what did they say? How can I find out or are we just SOL?

You can try to do a FIOA for the information you are seeking. I know of several people that have sent in a FIOA and we are waiting for answers to the FOIA, after Hot Springs gets thru with their 20 day period, the FOIA is sent Atlanta for an unknown period of time. No one can tell me how long Atlanta gets to decide if the information is available for the public. So good luck!
